Yesterday (September 22), Toys R Us came out with their list of the top Holiday Toys for 2010. We quickly rushed over and saw them list the U-Command Buzz Lightyear toy as one of their top picks. What does the U-Command Buzz Lightyear have that the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear programmable robot does not?
Well, one thing we should note right off the bat, the U-Command Buzz Lightyear is a Toys-R-Us global exclusive. So with the exception of resellers on Amazon and eBay, the only place you can get that toy is on their website or in their store. Not a bad idea to create a demand for a product in which you are the exclusive carrier.
However, this got us thinking…. there are a LOT of Buzz Lightyear toys out there, and all of them have similar names. How can you truly find which Buzz Lightyear is best and make sure you’re getting the exact model you want? So because of this, we’re going to change the direction of this site.
We will become the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear Toy Shop! Ultimate Buzz Lightyear.net will be your official home of Buzz Lightyear toy reviews and comparisons helping you find the right Buzz Lightyear toy for you and your child!

There are a number of Buzz Lightyear toys on the market, so deciding between which models can become difficult. There’s the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear Programmable Robot by Thinkway, which is about as high tech as they come. We love all his many features, but the downside is his price and he can be a bit difficult to program.
There’s also the 12″ Talking Buzz Lightyear by Disney, which seems to have the highest ratings overall by owners. Much less in price, he speaks 65 different phrases and his wings pop out at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, he doesn’t walk or dance and doesn’t have quite the same number of features, but is a sturdy and respectable toy overall.
If you’re looking for a Bilingual Buzz, we’ve found one over at Walmart. With a helmet that opens and closes as well as a variety of push buttons and laser lights, this simpler Buzz Lightyear toy still packs quite a punch being the only Bilingual Buzz we’ve been able to find.
The best things to keep in mind when buying your Ultimate Buzz Lightyear is both the age of the receiving the toy, as well as your own personal budget. In addition to finding a number of different Talking Buzz Lightyear toys, make sure to check out all the Toy Story 3 goodies over at Amazon. Toy Story toys, particularly Buzz Lightyear toys, are going to be the hot item for Christmas 2010, so buy your Buzz before he flies off the shelf and to infinity and beyond!

Just as every little girl longs to be a princess, boys love cowboys, spacemen, and warriors or all types. Because of this, Toy Story (and it’s sequels Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3) has become an immense success with it’s tale of loyalty and friendship between Cowboy Woody and Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear. Now your child and reenact their epic adventures with a line of Toy Story toys, like the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear programmable robot.
You can find just about every sort of Toy Story toy you can imagine, but we have a special fondness for the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear. Just like in the film, this walking, talking, programmable robot toy thinks he’s a real Space Ranger that has crash landed on a strange planet. However, YOU can tell him he’s just a toy and his behavior will change. There are over 100 sayings in the voice of Tim Allan as the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear toy interacts with you motions of the eyes, mouth, head, arms, waist, and walking leg movements.
Just like in the film, Buzz first believes he is a Space Ranger and speaks as a member of the Universe Protection Unit trying to catch the evil Emperor Zurg. But when you tell Buzz he is just a toy, he responds to their voice with dialog and behavior changes, switching into “Toy mode”. Some of Buzz’s actions include shooting arm lases, talking to arm communicator, saluting, giving you 5, and more! The Ultimate Buzz Lightyear also comes programmed with an target game where you can use his remote control to shoot off lasers in an intergalactic battle. He’ll know if your shot is a hit or miss, giving you interactive fun for hours on end.
The winner of numerous awards, we already see the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear selling out at many online stores. He is certain to be one of the top selling toys for Christmas 2010, so we suggest you buy now while he’s still in stock!
